If you are travelling by Public Transportation:
From Termini (Central Railway Station)
- Take the bus number 223 or 910 [they leave every 15-20 minutes];
- When you are in Via Paisiello and the bus crosses via Rossini, get out of the bus (you can ask for the the stop to go to the Bioparco)
- Then, go one block in via Rossini toward Villa Borghese, and take a left in via U. Aldrovandi. Then go 50 m down, and on your left you will see a long red building. There we are!! Look for number 16b.
From Fiumicino Airport:
- Take the train either to Termini, or to stazione Tiburtina (Direction Fara Sabina). If you go to Termini, look for the instructions above.
- If you get the train for stazione Tiburtina, once there, take the bus number 490, or 495. Get off at piazza Fiume and take the bus 223 (and then follow the instructions above).
From Ciampino Airport
- Go to Stazione termini by Taxi or Terravision bus
- Then follow the instructions above
In Rome tickets are not always on sale aboard public transportation. Tickets have to be bought in advance [at tobacco shops and newspaper stands]. The ticket must be validated when boarding the first time. The bus ticket costs 1.50 Euro, and entitles its user to a single Underground ride plus unlimited bus use, within 100 minutes from its first validation.
By the way, don't forget that buses may require you to push the stop bell. On the underground the doors don't open automatically at stops, so you'll have to push a (red or black) button beside the door.
